I think yea like Aflikshun said there is not “setting”. Because every music style and audio is different you really have to know 1)What you want to hear 2)How to acheive that sound.

Don’t ditch your Sonar the same principles apply. Just focus on that. You don’t need to master the tool but the technique and once you get started you don’t really want to jump around from tool to tool. You will get tired of learning and spending money buying stuff you already have. Good Luck
