I think Its WAY more advanced than source.. Source uses light maps but Spark has real time lighting on all surfaces. I’m not a game engine guru but I would say its more akin to Unreal Engine 3 than Source. I still think Source is just a higher res Quake engine with normal maps and physics.. but what do I know ;D

I think Take a look to the videos, it uses VTFs.
Also, the tool ‘Create a mod’ in Source SDK can drop the Source engine (Better said, the HL2 engine) source code so it’s supossed to be open.

I believe it’s a proprietary engine, since the Source engine is not open-source, I don’t know exactly how much of the Source code you get from the Source engine. But I’m pretty sure this would be beyond what you’d be able to do with the supplied source-code provided.

Actually Mac is prolly used more, but i don’t use Macs nor really care about how they’re doing.
So XP is prolly the most used Windows OS…

they started developing 7 after how much of a flop Vista was. Most people buy Vista because it come pre-installed with most machines on the market, and most people who buy PCs recently arn’t computer savy, otherwise im sure they’d go with XP too.
XP is the most used OS across the globe, in the business industry and in peoples homes, making it the most commonly used OS out there, even more than Vista.
I’m sure they use Vista for their tools (and game) because of DX10.

I think Yes, but it was also a .psd file, which has layer images, so that red M could have been in it’s own layer and thus easily fixed.

I think Wouldnt it have sucked if those red letters saved over the original textures?

There’s a 32 bit version of Vista, too. And as I was saying before, XP is the primary OS because Vista (and, I suppose, Windows 7) have had a relatively short life span.

XP Is still the primary OS used and is supported for most every game out there on the pc. It’s not going away anytime soon. No need for 64 bit memory hogs just yet.

I think How long has Vista been out?
Now how long has XP been out?
Now how often do normal people get a new computer?
XP is old and outdated. I mean, Windows 7 is almost out.

Back when NS first came out, server mods actually banned people for bunnyhopping!! Now it’s standard to be a decent player. I wonder if bunnyhop physics are going to be purposely included in this game?
